Essence Series Expands with the Sophisticated Connecticut Cigar

E.P. Carrillo is proud to announce the latest addition to its acclaimed Essence Series—the Essence Series Connecticut. As the fourth blend in this celebrated series, following the Sumatra, Maduro, and Honduras, the E.P. Carrillo Connecticut is the second Essence Series creation crafted outside Casa Carrillo, exclusively at the renowned Agroindustrias DIADEMA factory in Honduras.

Now, with the introduction of the Connecticut, the series offers a velvety, mild-bodied option that embodies smooth sophistication and subtle complexity. The E.P. Carillo Essence Series Connecticut will make its debut at the 2025 PCA trade show in New Orleans in April.

A Blend of Elegance and Flavor

The Essence Series Connecticut features:

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut – silky-smooth with a golden hue, offering a mild to medium touch of espresso with an earthy, nutmeg profile.
Binder: Criollo 98 Honduran – adding depth with a subtle, earthy spice.
Filler: A rich blend of Honduran and Dominican Republic tobaccos, creating a harmonious balance of earthiness, cedar, and a touch of toasted almond.

Flavor Profile

Cigar enthusiasts will appreciate the Connecticut’s velvety draw and delicate notes of cream, hay, and light pepper. The medium-length finish is clean and crisp, making it a perfect companion to a morning coffee or an evening aperitif.

Release and Shipping

The Essence Series Connecticut will make its debut with samples at the PCA but pre-orders begin immediately. Shipping will start in May to retailers. The Connecticut will be offered in three vitolas each in a 24-count box:
